Okay, so the headline may be a little misleading...but our Art Director, Lully Duque, is relocating to Berlin in the coming months! It is an exciting move for Lully, who I am sure will revel in the creative scene there. It is also a great opportunity for Lully to spend some time with Code Nation’s European friends and partners.
It was exciting to take home another Reed Award in February. The Reed Awards are held annually in the US, and celebrate excellence in political campaigning, campaign management, political consulting and political design. Last year we won Best International Website, and this year our work with Green Music Australia took out top honours for Best Grassroots Website. We were also proud finalists in two other categories. Read on for the full wrap-up.
It was a pleasure as always to collaborate with the wonderful James Harrison on this new website for Dr Tim Read, the Greens MP for Brunswick.
Large image file sizes across your website can be a real drag on load speeds. Optimising images is therefore a quick and simple way to get your website in front of a visitor’s eyes sooner. To do so, there are several online tools that let you compress images, and the one we always recommend is TinyPNG.
Last week it was a pleasure to participate as guest presenters and trainers at the Digital Intensive. The Digital Intensive, organised each year by our good friend Tabatha at OrganiseUs, comprises five days of training in all things digital organising. OrganiseUs are an invaluable resource for the progressive campaign community in Australia, as digital strategy consultants and providers of some top quality training (even if they do keep letting the rabble from Code Nation back!). Thanks for having us Tabatha, and if you haven’t already, add your name to their mailing list for upcoming events and trainings.
